The 1000 Mile sock is a sock within a sock. The inner layer stays with the foot, the outer layer moves with the shoe thus eliminating friction on the skin and reducing wear.
The unique mixture of fibres helps to keep the foot cool, dry and blister free.

History
The Company was established in 1989 following the creation of the original 1000 Mile sock. It has grown into a successful family owned business whose members’ pursuits in a variety of sporting and leisure activities, ensure a dedication to service and innovation.
The 1000 Mile unique double layer cotton/nylon sock was initially developed as a medical aid for sufferers from poor circulation and foot associated problems, especially among diabetics. As the benefits and reputation of the sock spread, athletes became interested in the socks as a means of preventing blistering, and controlling perspiration, during their training and competitive running programmes.
The range has been extensively expanded and is now probably the brand leader for technical socks within the athletics market. Other winter running accessories such as thermal gloves, hats, ear warmers, snap bands and reflective bibs complement the range. Exports to Eire, Poland, South Africa, Germany and Holland have made the Company internationally known.
Over the past 7 years, the 1000 Mile sock has been introduced into the outdoor market, with astonishing success, especially after exhibiting and introducing new products at every AutumnCOLA and GO Outdoors since 1996. Socks dedicated to the golf, cycling, and cricket markets complete the range.
